Abstract

The CNC equipment of the 21st century will be a system with a certain level of intelligence, which includes various aspects within the CNC system. This aims to pursue intelligence in processing efficiency and quality, such as adaptive control during the processing, automatic generation of process parameters; to enhance driving performance and facilitate connections with intelligence, such as feedforward control, adaptive computation of motor parameters, automatic load identification and model selection, self-tuning, etc.; simplifying programming and operations with intelligence, such as intelligent automatic programming, intelligent human-machine interfaces, etc.; as well as intelligent diagnosis and monitoring, facilitating system diagnosis and maintenance, etc.

To address the issues of the closed nature of traditional CNC systems and the industrial production of CNC application software, many countries are currently researching open CNC systems, such as ONC in China, NGC in the United States, OSACA in the European Community, and OSEC in Japan. The openness of CNC systems has become the future path for CNC systems.

An open CNC system refers to the development of CNC systems that can be conducted on a unified operating platform, targeting machine tool manufacturers and end users. By changing, adding, or trimming structural objects, a series can be formed, and the user's special applications and technical know-how can be easily integrated into the control system, quickly realizing open CNC systems of different varieties and levels, forming branded products with distinct personalities.

Currently, the architecture specifications, communication specifications, configuration specifications, operating platforms, CNC system function libraries, and CNC system function software development of open CNC systems are the core of current research.Toolsand are the current research focus.

In summary, CNC technology has become the core of advanced manufacturing technology and is the foundation for the manufacturing industry to achieve automation, networking, flexibility, and integration. Practical high-speed processing technology has been widely applied in the machinery manufacturing industry, following the introduction of advanced CNC automatic production lines, tools, and CNC machine tools. The overall level of CNC equipment has gradually become a strong indicator of a country's industrial modernization level and comprehensive national strength.

Our country can only maintain an invincible position in international competition by adopting effective competitive strategies, implementing feasible competitive plans, continuously enhancing the independent innovation capability, management level, and service quality of enterprises through information systems, and insisting on cultivating long-term, sustainable core competitive capabilities.
